Come See Change

Port Pirie’s civic and business leaders gathered in July 2016, to discuss promoting developments in Port Pirie to the community, region, nation and the world beyond.

The strategic sessions, which I was invited to co-facilitate, were focused around reputational change and the need of a common platform for the many positive stories around both the Nyrstar Port Pirie smelter redevelopment and Port Pirie Regional Council planning projects.

Five pillars emerged, namely: ‘global and national value; sustainable; well-situated in the region; transformation and change; we care what you think.’

The final platform was to capture these five themes, which I was entrusted to articulate into a clear brand message and campaign.

The result was ‘Port Pirie. Come See Change’.

This quickly became embraced and proudly owned within Port Pirie and the surrounding region by business and tourism interests, council initiatives and community groups.

Come See Change also featured across the Masters Games during 2019. The brand was instrumental in attracting the games to Port Pirie.
